PRODUCT FEATURES
Thermolock KF-S 012 is a cost-effective, multipurpose filling product of A1 non-combustible class, produced mainly in white or grey color. Thermolock KF-S 012 non-combustible filling material is designed for use on surfaces that require non-flammable covering, such as electrical ducts, as well as for reducing waste costs when there is excess material during wall leveling or in areas that require thick layered insulation. It provides thermal, acoustic, and fire insulation but has no decorative properties.

NEED TO PAY ATTENTION
KF-S 012 Thermolock should be used in its entirety, i.e., the whole bag due to its composition.
The product should be mixed using a mixer or concrete mixer for at least 6 minutes.
Thermolock KF-S 012 must not be mixed with more water than specified (15 liters).
Do not add extra water if a mixture prepared with Thermolock KF-S 012 sits in the container for a long time and loses consistency. In that case, simply remix it at low speed with a mixer to restore consistency. If Thermolock KF-S 012 is applied over painted surfaces, mineral plaster, or other coatings, approximately 70% of the surface layer must be removed using paint-removing chemicals, abrasive methods, or other similar procedures.
If Thermolock KF-S 012 is applied over painted surfaces, mineral plaster, or other coatings, the surface should be cleaned by removing about 70% of the layer using paint-removing chemicals, abrasive methods, or similar techniques.
On Thermolock KF-S 012 A1 filling material, as a 1 cm thick finishing layer, Thermolock KF-S 011 should be applied for exterior surfaces or Thermolock KF-S 020 for interior surfaces.
APPLICATION POSSIBILIETS
| Field of application: | Description: |
| Construction – interior and exterior protection | – Thermal insulation of walls, ceilings, and facades – Non-combustible layer in fire protection systems – Protection of structures from fire (concrete, steel, wood, glass) |
| Industrial installations and facilities | – Thermal insulation of industrial pipes and boilers – Protection of electrical and mechanical installations – Coating for fuel and chemical storage facilities |
| Residential and commercial buildings | – Fire protection in buildings – Thermal and acoustic insulation – Environmentally friendly alternative to traditional thermal insulation plasters |
| Special applications | – Tunnels, garages, underground structures (resistance to high temperatures and smoke) – Protection of structures in high-risk areas (factories, refineries, power plants) |
SPECIAL FEATURES
- Fireproof – Non-combustible material (A1 class) that does not burn even at temperatures up to 1000 °C. It significantly contributes to the fire protection of the building.
- Water-repellent – Has low water absorption (0.312 kg/m²·min⁰⁵), which reduces the penetration of moisture, rain, and snow into the structure.
- Thermo-insulating – The thermal conductivity coefficient is 0.060 W/mK, helping to preserve the wall’s thermal insulation properties and the building’s energy efficiency.
- Soundproofing – Reduces noise by up to 25 dB, contributing to acoustic comfort within the space.
- Eco-friendly – Contains no harmful chemicals, reduces construction waste, and is suitable for sustainable building.
ADVANTAGES COMPARED TO CONVENTIONAL FACADE PLASTER
- Thermal and acoustic insulation in one – Thermolock KF-S 012 has a thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.060 W/mK and reduces noise by up to 25 dB, whereas conventional plasters have no insulating properties and require additional layers such as polystyrene or mineral wool.
- Fire and high-temperature resistance – Non-combustible material (A1 class), tested at 1000 °C. Provides additional safety in buildings with increased fire risk, which conventional plasters do not guarantee.
- Reduced structural load – Thanks to its lower density compared to cement plasters, Thermolock KF-S 012 reduces the overall weight of the system, making it ideal for terraces, attics, and renovations of older buildings.
- Environmental aspect – Contains no harmful chemicals, reduces construction waste, and is suitable for projects with green certifications and sustainable building.
- Resistance to moisture and temperature shocks – Low water absorption (0.312 kg/m²·min⁰⁵) protects the structure from rain and snow, while stability under sudden temperature changes reduces the risk of cracking and degradation.
PREPARATION
For optimal consistency, exactly 15 liters of water should be added. Mixing is carried out using a construction mixer or a concrete mixer and must last at least six minutes to achieve a homogeneous mixture. If the material loses consistency during work, no additional water should be added – simply remix at low speed. The surface to which the material is applied must be clean, dry, and free of dust. In the case of previously painted walls, mineral plasters, or other coatings, approximately 70% of the surface layer must be removed, either chemically, abrasively, or mechanically, to ensure good adhesion.
Application method:
Thermolock KF-S 012 can be applied manually or mechanically, depending on the project requirements. Manual application is done using a steel trowel, while for larger surfaces, a specialized plastering machine is recommended. The material is used as a filling layer without decorative function, with a consumption of approximately 5 kg per square meter for a 1 cm thick layer. The working temperature during application should be between +5 °C and +35 °C to ensure proper reaction and bonding. After application, Thermolock KF-S 011 is recommended as the finishing layer for exterior surfaces, while Thermolock KF-S 020 is used for interior spaces, providing a complete system of technical and aesthetic finishing.
